THE CLUB

Club History

The Markham Aquatic Club (MAC) has been promoting excellence in the sport of competitive swimming for close to 30 years. Throughout these years MAC athletes have proudly represented our community at Local, Regional, Provincial, National and International levels. MAC has come to be recognized and respected in the Canadian swimming community.

Community Club

MAC is a non-profit sports organization. It's Board of Directors is made up of elected volunteer parents. MAC is an important part of our community and is registered with SWIM ONTARIO and SWIMMING/NATATION CANADA.

Club Philosophy

MAC's philosophy to competitive swimming is unique. Adapted to the North America reality, our European approach is based on the long term holistic development of the individual. We promote the TECHNICAL, PHYSICAL, MENTAL and SOCIAL SKILLS required to compete at one's optimal level.
